South Rail

In 2012, Kerry Brooks began touring with Washington, DC based South Rail.  Robust harmonies backed by solid songwriting and musicianship define the band’s original music, steeped in a fusion of authentic Americana and Rock and Roll.

In November 2013 the band traveled to Los Angeles, California to record a new EP produced by the legendary Don Was (producer to Old Crow Medicine Show, John Mayer, The Rolling Stones, and more). The EP, which was released in early 2014, captures quality live performance and highlights a melding of genres and styles. Vivian Wang (in District Consonance) has described South Rail as “part folk, part alt-country. Think Neil Young meets Wilco meets Eva Cassidy.
